News: Log on to the latest solution from Mainstream Measurements
The NEW Mainstream Portable features many brand new advantages to flow measurement in open channels and part-filled pipes.
The first, in a series of press releases, introduces Mainstream’s high capacity data logger which holds in excess of one year's data when recording at one-minute intervals, and even longer if diagnostic data such as battery voltages and ultrasound signal quality is not included! The 4 M-byte data logger memory is non-volatile (FLASH) giving 20 years data retention without power and the data logger memory emulates the familiar PC file system.
Mainstream’s data files are stored in compressed form to maximise the logger capacity and reduce retrieval time. For example the time taken to retrieve 1 month’s data recorded at 1 minute intervals is only 12 seconds.
Retrieved data is stored as archive files and converted to .CSV files for export to spreadsheets. Synchronise function keeps archive files up to date — only new information is retrieved from the Mainstream — saving transfer time.
Configuration data from archive files can be reloaded into the Mainstream to exactly replicate an installation.
With logging intervals from 5 seconds up to 1 hour, new data files can be generated automatically every day starting at the same time. Alternatively the data can be logged into one large file.
Mainstream delivers all its original features and benefits including:
- High sensitivity extends applications to ‘clean’ water
- Ultrasound signal quality monitor confirms measurement integrity
- Sophisticated ultrasound processing ignores spurious signals
- Bi-directional flow measurement for forward and reverse velocities from 10 mm/S up to 5 m/S
- Streamlined velocity probe reduces fouling and flow disturbances
- Opto-isolated switch outputs to operate samplers, alarms and controls
